Default 45 Truck front shock links

I need to replace the front shock links on my truck, but have not been able to find any. The suppliers have lots of the ones for passenger cars, but none for the truck from the normal suppliers. I have not called anyone yet, but I checked on line at Gaslight, Dennis Carpenter, Drakes, C&G and Mac's. FCRC Machine has a listing, but they are out of stock. I sent them a message to see if they knew anyone who might carry them or when they would have some more in stock. I thought that I would post here and see who might have an idea where I might get some?

I will check Hemmings and the EFV8 Club mag later this evening. I also posted wanted ads on the Swap Meet here and on the EFV8 site. Part number, as best I can determine is 01Y 18655A. I just ordered the Green parts book on CD. It arrived this week and I have already used it!

I ordered a pair of NOS links for my truck from Fred Willner at Southside Obsolete a few months ago. They were very rusty; but, they cleaned up well and worked well. And the price was very reasonable.

Norm,

Great idea. I was on his site recently and didn't think of it when I was searching. I will give him a call tomorrow. One of the may reasons this site is so terrific.

You can also check with Third Generation Automotive, they sell on eBay a lot and have many nos parts.

I spoke to Fred Wilner. He has the shock links. Cheaper than buying new, if anyone had them, and reasonable shipping fee, too.
