any info how good is 6volt pos earth for my 3 bolt 37 coupe ?

Pre-'49 stock flathead Ford distributors, set up properly, are usually the best ignition to be used on these engines.

Considering how the replacement points and condensers are such poor quality off shore junk your lottery chances are much better using the Stromberg dizzy.

Only problem I had was starting on 6volt, the battery had to be fully charged otherwise the starter robbed the dizzy of power. Changed back to helmet and it fires up even if left for a month

common problem with all electronics they are so voltage sensitive not enough wont work to much and the smoke escapes. Old style points will work at half rating just not as well so you really need a good strong battery when using electronics
