Thanks Aussie Merc and BobC for the warning and video of the dangers of using heat on a wheel/tire assembly. I recently used the torch to get some lug nuts loose for a friend on an F600 rear wheel. I won't do that again after watching that video.

Yes, thanks Guys for that bit of Info... I would never have considered that heat would have built so rapidly.. I once tried welding a broken piece on an office chair that had the hydraulic height adjustment cylinder attached... That did not go very well.....

Before posting on here, dad checked on a slugging wrench from a local place and they wanted $104. Called the guy who comes on site and puts on rear tractor tires for us. Used his 1 inch air impact gun. barely hit the trigger and they loosened up with no problem. Had to wait till he had some free time. Looking at impact gun for myself. I thought about the kroil oil but found out the tire guy was coming out. Appreciate all the info everyone! Trying to make steady progress on the truck and not find myself at a stand still very long.
