Default Emergency brake lubrication 1947 super deluxe?

All,
I am working to get the emergency brake to work on my 1947 super deluxe. When I pull the lever it feels like the cable needs to be lubricated somehow? If so how and what with?
Any other tips on setting up the E-brake will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for any input!!!
John

I just recently lubed my brake cable. I slowly squirted a good dose of Lock-Ease down the sheath until it was dripping out the end. The carrier evaporates and leaves the graphite coating inside. Worked great.
