39 ford brakes
Changing breaks over to silicone with all new parts. Has anybody had
experience with Drake's new deluxe $295. brake kit? Is one quart of fluid more than enough to do the job? |

When you ask a question like this it would be nice if you would include a link to what you are talking about. Go to the Drake site, highlight the address, copy it (CNTL C on a PC and COMMAND C on a MAC). Use CNTL V (for a PC) or COMMAND V (on a MAC) to paste the link into your post.

Re: 39 ford brakes
I am too computer ignorant to cut and paste.
The deluxe brake kit is on page 62 of the latest V8 Times in Grant's 2 page color ad. It is a complete brake rebuilding kit for 1939-42 cars with all new parts [ shoes, cylinders, hoses etc] for $295.00. I would rather have new parts if they are good ones, than rebuilding the existing parts. Wondered if anyone has experience with this set. |

One quart should be enough. Flush lines of old fluid. |

Re: 39 ford brakes
If they are chinese parts I would tread with caution. My old USA wheel cyls with new rubbers worked way better than brand new chinese ones.
