Default OMEGA Leakless Water Pumps

Does anyone know if the OMEGA Leakless Water Pumps once sold by Mike Kemp do not require lubrication at the rear (impeller end)? How about the front (fan end)? And how reliable are they? Thanks.

I don't know this particular "leakless" pump, but I can tell you that in general, when pumps are converted to leakless, that involves the addition of a sealed bearing with permanent lubrication. The grease fitting is left in place, but only so it looks right and is non-functional.

On mine, the rear bearing is modern and does not require grease (in fact, I think forcing grease in there would be bad). The forward bearing is original and requires a shot of grease now and then.

Good luck,

Ken
