Default Congratulations to Lawrie

The March/April issue of the V8 Times arrived today and has a great story on Lawrie and the 33. A really good read.

I'd love to read it but, alas, I'm no longer active in the EFV8CA. I've met Lawrie and his son, and a mate, all super nice guys. I love reading Lawrie's posts.

Am looking forward for my copy of V8 Times to arrive, so that I can read all about Lawrie's Road Trip in his 1933 Ford Fordor Sedan. Thanks Lawrie for your contribution to V8 Times. It is just a pity that because of Covid, more people from overseas can not visit Australia and see what a great country it is. Regards Mercman <><

Lawrie's Imported 1933 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan. He uses this vehicle and drives it everywhere, a real credit to him.

Australian 1933 Ford Fordor Sedan. Notice that the body differs from Lawrie's Imported 1933 Ford Fordor Sedan in the previous picture. That is because Ford Australia modified the 1932 Ford Sedan Body to fit the new longer wheelbase 1933 models, in an effort to save money.

For comparison of USA Bodies (like Lawrie's 33 Ford) and the Australian Body, check out this Australian 1934 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan, showing the different shape of the rear part of the body that Ford Australia modified from the 1932 Ford Fordor Sedan Body.

I believe Lawrie's car orignally came from New Zealand (as did Lawrie- we like to claim the good ones back from the Aussies !)
