UltraSonic cleaner mix ?
I have purchased from H F an ultrasonic 2 1/2 liter cleaner. I want to take good care of it and not use a cleaning solution that would not be appropiate. I have no experience with this method but several FB posts seem to think it does a good job cleaning small parts. I know many use a solution of water and simple green, but what else would be ok to use. Like perhaps Super Clean cleaner/degreaser, or Evapo Rust, ammonia? How about a weak acid or base solution?
Thank you for any suggestions.

Don't use any acid in your cleaner

Evaporust is a soaking solution, no need to excite it! I like simple green but have not use it in a ultrasonic cleaner

Re: UltraSonic cleaner mix ?
Be very careful with Super Clean - It will degloss or remove paint and dull polished aluminum. It's probably the best degreaser I have ever used!
Depending on what you are cleaning, 409 or Simple Green would be good choices.

Re: UltraSonic cleaner mix ?
I would suggest vinegar and the HF extended insurance plan-you run into problems and they give you a new ultrasonic, no questions asked.

Be careful with the heat and vinegar. More is not always better, especially on parts where the final finish matters.
