We do these builds for a living, put it together and don't look back, it will be fine regardless of that oil hole OR brg "mod"!

P.S . If you do choose the single rod swap and it's marked as (looks like) the same rods you now have you will not need to balance it, every one of those OEM rods are close enough balance-wise to be swapped around. The build will not know a few grams variation between the rods if this is the case! We've taken apart BB Mopar's with a 35+ gram spread between the rods from the factory. Never any vibration issue or brg failure!

Thanks Gary, I actually called the machinist this morning and he said the exact same thing as you, on both topics. And he confirmed what Ron said said about it being totally unnecessary to begin with.
