Default When were fluted headlight lens, fan shroud, and powerhouse generator discontinued?

I am out of town at a friend's house and he just purchased a 1929 roadster, engine number: 1176476 which is believe is about March of 1929.

It is a nice and proper restoration but we have a few questions and my Judging Standards are at home.

The car has typical 1929 doors with exterior handles and the emergency brake lever is in front of the shifter.

The car has fluted headlight lens, red steering wheel;a powerhouse generator and original fan shroud. Are these correct for this car? When were they changed?

Thanks in advance.

I have read that the powerhouse generator was used until june 1929 on some model A's . my june 29 tudor has the tube style generator with bearings . I don't know if my tube generator came on the car from the factory or not .

Your number 1176476 puts it as an early March 1929 build. The fan shroud could go through March of 29, depending on the assembly plant. Fluted headlight lenses through March 29. My guess is that it also has the drum tail lamp.
Powerhouse generators would go up through mid-1929.
Remember that there is a 60 day rule for carryover of parts to cover different assembly plant's stock of parts on hand.

A red steering wheel is generally used with a 7 tooth sector. The two tooth sectors came in around March '29 with the early version gearbox (parts are not available for these.)

Snyders and now possibly others for a while has had a repop red steering wheel able to mate with the 2 tooth keyed shaft.

Thanks for the information.

The car does have a drum tail lamp as well as a "T" shaped rumble lid handle. Looks to be a pretty correctly restored car.
