Default increasing front bench seat leg room in '28 4 door

I have a '28 Leatherback 4 door Model 60A. The front seat is bolted into the center door posts. How do I modify to get more front leg room?

Hi Rod. i don't know an answer to your question but the thought comes to mind of moving the holes for the bolts. Or removing the bolts and bolting the seat to the floor. If you supply photos that might be helpful.

Good Afternoon...A seat track is a great idea...A lot of people today are taller than people were in the Model A Era...Ernie in Arizona

In My Tudor the seat posts are curved slightly. You can turn the curve forward, or turn the curve aft, it's good for maybe 1 inch of adjustment. That wasn't enough. I had a welding shop make me a bracket that has bar stock with a few holes, and now you can move the seat aft of factory to any of those holes, secured by a clevis pin.

In the Tudor, the metal cross member carries the seat post, moving it aft would put it into the floor board. Might check on that.

If someone is making a bracket for general consumption, so much the better.

I just recently sold my 29 Briggs I wouldn’t have minded putting my seat backwards a bit but the front seat was attached to,the center pillars and was covered by the fabric that match rear of seat .if you’re interior is as nice as mine was I would not have sacrificed one for the other best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do! Best of luck Joe!

Tudors are a completely different animal than the Fordor. The Fordor has a big old comfy bench seat, not those little pedestel seats like in a tudor.

rodusmcr, In my '30 Town Sedan I moved the entire seat back ~3" but my seat isn't bolted to the center door posts. I'm trying to remember how the seat is mounted in a Blind Back. Do you have any photos?

After you install the seat tracks you can move the seat back about 7 inches.Heat the shifter just above the tower bend it over 6 inches sit back relax enjoy the ride.
