Default Eaton cap ID help

I'm having trouble getting the gas cap to seat (or even catch) properly. Before I try to manipulate the tabs, or look at the tank neck closer, should be an Eaton, correct?

Looks like mine. Does it have the gasket? Or is the gasket too thick?

yes, it is an Eaton gas cap and it needs a leather gasket. a lot of the venders out there handle them.

I overlooked the obvious (gasket). Much appreciated! Bruce
