34 Windshield Frame Inner Finish
I currently have my '34 4 dr Deluxe Sedan windshield frame out, someone previously used silicone to install the glass so I am re-doing it correctly.
Anyway, while I have it out, was the inner (toward the cabin) sides of the frame painted a satin or flat black to reduce glare originally? It is a nice chromed frame, probably a repro Trautwien, not sure. I just want it to be as close to original as possible and might as well take care of that now while its out. Thanks for any help... |

Yes, the inside of the frame was originally painted black. Judging from the survivors I've seen, it was either matte or satin, basically devoid of any gloss (given its purpose).
