Cowl Painting
I have a 1931 roadster, and I am in the process of repainting hood, cowl, and doors. I am replacing the welting that goes between the gas tank and the (I think it is called) the cowl rail. The part that goes right under the windshield.
First question: Is the cowl rail painted the same color as the body, or is it painted a darker color like the trim? Second question: Is the welting painted or left black? And if painted, is the the darker color like trim, or body color? Thanks! |

Re: Cowl Painting
If you are trying to be exact I think you would benefit in buying a few items of literature such as painting guides and a copy of judging standards. They are as close to giving the best info. My guess is that area would be painted body color.
