Intake manifold
People seem to have a lot of interest in intake manifold's. Had me thinking did anyone ever make a cross ram type intake for something like the Webber carbs? If anyone has a pic I'd like to see.

Flatattack Racing in Austria use to make one that took the top portion of a SBC tunnel ram and allow you to run two 4 barrels. |

Re: Intake manifold
Thanks. Was thinking something like that would make it easier to mount generator and may be able to adapt some bike carburetors.

Re: Intake manifold
Now "easy" is sure a relative term when you wonder into the non-traditional!

Re: Intake manifold
I'll say again how much I like the Rochester 2GC on the bored out Canadian Merc manifold on the '51 Merc in my club coupe. There is a lot to be said for simplicity, and this is even simpler than a 4BBL It also works because I have the hood closed most of the time.

Re: Intake manifold
A'HEM You cannot beat the early FENTON 4 brl intake with a '52 Olds/Caddy 4 brl.
Mech secondaries with the big plus of a fuel inlet inlet at the rear of the carb. 390 Holley left in the dust. The added plus is it's a carb most guys under 51 years don't realize is a carb. Addendum......mill out the divider in the intake. Yep I've got one left. Charlie ny |

Re: Intake manifold
Bought this on ebay for my collection of early ford parts....
Funny thing is that the oil fill hole is not open and it looks like original casting material. I bought it because it was the only 33 piece I have seen without the oil fill hole ring cut away from the newer fuel pump? Is this some kluge demo piece of defective real intake with DL carb? |
