Default Is there ever an end..??

I have found there is something quite "Special" in the hobby of Model A ownership, as I'm sure most of you have discovered before me. Each layer of this amateur restoration (with help form forum and print/media), reminds me of skills learned long ago.. pushed aside by growing family and work, now to be rediscovered as Tilley becomes a roadworthy, reliable driver. I hope there is never an end to the excitement and challenge.!

That is a very good example why our Model A Club holds a "Safety Check Day", where the guys and gals can bring their car, put it up on a hoist for all the guru's to examine for issues such as that. Cars that can't make it to the "Safety Check" are left to the owners responsibility for the check. Those members are encouraged to acquire physical help and advise from other members to complete their "Safety Check" when convenient.

Glen,
Reminds me of a car that was GIVEN to a friend because the owner couldn't steer it anymore!
Behind the coffee shop, a crew jacked up the front end, BANGED on everything until it took grease & that dude steered EASY!
Bill Amazed!

In 85+ years I suspect most Model A's were amateur restorations --per car.. Even original cars had many amateur repairs by now... So odd things or un-factory like repairs etc are expected... Think of it as car repair archeology.

I will say, aside from my modern points, and few modern grease fittings, whoever did my car kept it factory as is --as far as I have discovered.
