Default Can someone ID this early wiper motor & I need a arm

This wiper motor fits my model A coupe windshield holes but it needs spaced out about 3/8". I don't know what it is off of and I also need a arm and blade. the shaft is tapered, splined and has a 10/32 threads. On the bottom is E A Laboratories Inc. Brooklin NY. One other question, it is 6V do I need a reducer on the motor to run 12v, thanks.

Hi, It is an E.A. Labratories wiper that was for a time period installed at the factory. I have one with a brass cover and the output shaft on mine is about two inches longer than yours. Different model?

I am no expert, still new to the model a. I found most of my information on http://www.modelawipers.com/. He also sells arm and blades. Check out the website and you can probably get more detailed info.

Hope this helps.

Fred is correct on that, not an original. I was told by Phil at bert's these were actually used on the early Jeeps, but were a popular replacement for the A wiper motors. I have had several of them over the course of time. They seem very durable as most that I have found work. Unfortunalely the potmeatal likes to crack at the ears like the originals. Rod

I stand corrected. I was going on the information posted on ModelAwiper.com. On the home page, bottom right hand corner it states that Ford started installing E.A. Labratories wipers in March 1929.

Thanks for the correction.

no6,
The shaft looks much like Datsun in the '60's. Read somewhere, I think, that some V.W. arms fit on the Jeep wiper motor?? Bill W.

Thanks for the correction.

Same company, but a different style was used during Model A production.
