1932 Ford Pedal Pads Question
I’m working on getting my 32 Back on the road and I’m missing the pedal pads. The pedals are stock 32 and are not threaded.
What pads can I use, or am I restricted to 32 Only. Thanks |

Re: 1932 Ford Pedal Pads Question
You need the '32 pedal pads that the pad has a stud and nut. They are available reproduction. The later pedal pads have a larger stud and thread right into the pedals. You could use those but you'd have to tap threads in your pedals.

Re: 1932 Ford Pedal Pads Question
The rubber surface was bonded to the medal pad. Another option it to source a used set and put a set of pad covers over the OEM ones.
I don't have the pedals in front of me, but I seem to recall that '33-'34 pedals are also bolt on. |

They look identical to the bonded rubber units just all metal no rubber. They were on big trucks and are rare and desirable I believe. They're pretty neat looking

Re: 1932 Ford Pedal Pads Question
hop up,
Early '33s used the carryover '32 pads and the pedal ends were formed like the ends on the '32 pedals. They weren't threaded and the pads were attached with thin check nuts and lock washers as with the '32s. 32phil, With respect, those cast iron pedals were WWII service parts when rubber was embargoed; they weren't used in '32 production. |

Re: 1932 Ford Pedal Pads Question
Thank you for the info DavidG always learning on the fordbarn . I have always wondered about the metal petal pads and thought they were commercial. I have one and would like to find another,as they give extra room for a size 14 shoe.
