Default Intake manifold

People seem to have a lot of interest in intake manifold's. Had me thinking did anyone ever make a cross ram type intake for something like the Webber carbs? If anyone has a pic I'd like to see.

Yes, Tony Barron used to or still does make one for Weber's. Fordbarn member Ray made his own high rise/cross ram -type of intake.

Flatattack Racing in Austria use to make one that took the top portion of a SBC tunnel ram and allow you to run two 4 barrels.

Thanks. Was thinking something like that would make it easier to mount generator and may be able to adapt some bike carburetors.

Now "easy" is sure a relative term when you wonder into the non-traditional!

Yes I should have said it might solve some of the problems, and agree it would open up a whole new can of worms. Have to leave the young un's
something to work out.

When an owner wants multiple carbs, we recommend using a four barrel setup instead. Edelbrock makes a good manifold for the flatheads. The carb must be carefully selected to match the cfm requirement for the engine, and have a mechanical link to open the back barrels. This will allow for a good idle and low speed performance, and additional capacity for upper end requirements. Multiple carbs look "cool", but can be difficult to adjust.

I'll say again how much I like the Rochester 2GC on the bored out Canadian Merc manifold on the '51 Merc in my club coupe. There is a lot to be said for simplicity, and this is even simpler than a 4BBL It also works because I have the hood closed most of the time.

A'HEM You cannot beat the early FENTON 4 brl intake with a '52 Olds/Caddy 4 brl.
Mech secondaries with the big plus of a fuel inlet inlet at the rear of the carb. 390
Holley left in the dust. The added plus is it's a carb most guys under 51 years don't
realize is a carb. Addendum......mill out the divider in the intake. Yep I've got one left.

Bought this on ebay for my collection of early ford parts....
Funny thing is that the oil fill hole is not open and it looks like original casting material.
I bought it because it was the only 33 piece I have seen without the oil fill hole ring cut away from the newer fuel pump?
Is this some kluge demo piece of defective real intake with DL carb?
