Default Broken cam gear

Anybody ever see a cam gear break like this? It is on a 59ab with less then 200 miles on rebuild.

Looks like at least one of the bolts holding the distributor onto front cover was too long, and hitting the ribs on the timing gear, ultimately smashing it.

200 rather noisy miles, I would imagine.

Good diagnosis.

Mart.

Yep, I'm thinking quite noisy.

Brian, I think your right. The motor wasn't noisy though.
