Default Example plug wires for Winfield head

Awhile back I asked about spark plug connectors for use with a Winfield head. The Winfield relocates the plugs between the valves, rather than over the intake. This means that the 1 and 4 plugs are now too far away from the distributor for the stock connectors to bridge, and the 3 plug is uncomfortably close to the spark advance rod. After some trial and error, I came up with this solution. This uses Model T plug wire and terminals.

I think it came out pretty well, looks period and does the job. I did end up putting a bend in the spark control rod to move it farther away from the #3 plug, and I'm also going to wrap a little electrical tape around it just to be safe.

That is the best I have seen yet. Very ingenious.

Looks neat! The Brillman Company sells the braided high tension wire and terminals. You could make a coil wire to match.

Instead of wrapping the spark control rod w/electrical tape, how about painting it w/liquid electrical tape? Might look a bit better.
