Default Vega Steering box

Has any body use the vega steering box from speedway? If so how do you like it?

It is fine for lighter roadsters or Model As, but for something heavier such as a 35 and onward , a larger 525 Saginaw should be used.

Use the 525 Saginaw. Much better for a heavier car. It's a tough fit and you need to use the bracket (vega or 525 in a 35-40 frame) that takes the place of the stock bracket. You also need to use the Speedway headers that allow you to use a Vega box in a 35-48 car/pickup. I did this on a 40 coupe.

I have one on a 29 A roadster pu with a 51 flathead and it works fine,don't know about bigger cars.
