Default Front Crossmember

I need to replace the front crossmember on my 29 frame. I don't want a repo. How can I tell the difference between 28-29 and a 30-31?

has to do with the radiator mounting pads, one is depressed where the radaitor ears would sit while one is flat... Sorry i cant remember for sure which si what... I bought one for my 29 AA (different than cars) from Berts in Denver for an excelent price and in near perfect shape.

This is a 30-31, you can see the radiator pad is below the frame rail.
This will work as you can shim the radiator up to fit. The 28-29 will be
even with the top of the frame rail.

Give Steve a call at Bert's Model A Center, 303-293-3673. They carry a large stock of used parts in very good condition. Pretty sure he can help you.

This might help you determine the correct front coss member for your 1929 frame.

There were four types in 1929...you be the judge.
