Re: Genes Hot Rods
We went to where Genes and Barillo were supposed to be last October but both the shops were gone. Went to Bobby Alloways and he said Genes had closed up, but he took us to the new Barillo location .
Maybe Genes is still trading online?? |

Re: Genes Hot Rods
Gene's was owned by Charlie Burchett. Charlie shut it down the end of last year (early September) what ever was left in the building he essentially sold or gave to Gene himself to piddle with. In terms of the business it once was, it no longer is.
Charlie had this neat stand up Mickey Mouse 1950's wooden sign that is around 5' tall. My 4 year old daughter would get excited both times we were there when she saw it. When Charlie got out of the business last year I bought a bunch of transmission parts and such he had there. He gave that sign to my daughter.. He is a stand up fellow that I'll miss having in this hobby. |
