Got the paint for the body finished up today for Dad's car. Used all SPI (Southern Polyurethanes Inc) products on it and man is that stuff nice to work with

Wow! Any shinier and you will be able to use it as mirror for all sorts of things, like shaving, brushing your teeth, starting fires from the reflection.....

When you put on the "leatherback" material and pin stripe the body, that'll really make the paint POP!

I'm curious, what type of gun you used. HVLP or standard? Did you color sand?

Mr. Brown...
Proper choice of color... Was waiting to see an all black Victoria... All she need is black wheels, black tires and thin red strip... Very nice job!

Re: Got Dads car a little closer to done today
That's the plan, the car had orig. black paint under a repaint of black when we got it. Never could find any of the orig. pin stripping, must have been sanded off for the repaint. And the wheels will be black

Re: Got Dads car a little closer to done today
I am assuming you installed inner fender wells, if this is the case can you tell me the part number as supplied by the parts dealers ? Were they the ones from the 4-door that fit ?
thanks |

Re: Got Dads car a little closer to done today
Yea the 4-door ones are close but not exactly right so they were just cut up and used parts of them where needed. More work but it kept them looking correct
