How ya doing down there? Cracking on the sides is why I'm replacing the current Firestones. They are probably 30 years old, came on the blue Tudor I bought from Hoop and I think he bought them in about 1990. I have had them on 2 or 3 different cars since 2006. I had some Garfield tires somewhere in the past and was pleased with them, but Coker does not have any 19" in their online catalog. Bought new Goodyears in 2008 and drove on them from Jax to Dallas and French Lick- best riding and best handling tires I've experienced on any Model A. Plus they are visually the most pleasing to me. So it looks like I will just suck it up and pay the price difference to get another set. happy trails to you and Mabel Lee.......

Re: Opinions on tires wanted-
I bought Lucas tires and tubes directly from Lucas 8 years ago for my 30 Tudor.
Very happy with them. |

Re: Opinions on tires wanted-
Chris
Hope you and Alice are well and doing great in NC! Was happy to hear that you got your great car back in 2020. That car was the first ever Model A that Mable Lee and I rode in. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to drive it. That's certainly a happy story about how you got the car back. Great to hear from you! Peyton |
