Default OD wiper motor repair - taper pin? - ANSWER FOUND

I am repairing my OD-C1B wiper motor. The new wiper blade support arm needs to be installed but it did not come with a taper pin. I cannot figure out which taper to use since I don't have the old one. It appears to be a 5/0 taper pin but that size will not fit through the original hole in the shaft. I purchased the 6/0 and 7/0 sizes and they are both too small. Do taper pins come in a variety of tapers or has their design changed since my motor was manufactured. I"m not sure if I should just enlarge the hole and use a larger size pin.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Do not remember mine having a taper pin. I used a roll pin and it seemed to work fine. Possibly over the years the hole has become worn from use.

I found the answer to my problem. I measured the hole in my wiper shaft with small drills and confirmed that a taper pin was required. I then discovered that I should have purchased a 1' long taper pin rather than a 3/4 ' long pin. Since a taper 5/0 taper pin's largest diameter is the same regardless of length I needed a longer pin to get the smallest end to go through the small side of the hole in the shaft. Problem solved. Perhaps a small roll pin would have also worked. Thanks for the reply.
