Vacuum Wiper Issue
I recently installed a NORS Trico wiper on my 31 Roadster. First I had to shorten the upper end of my wiper blade by 1" to allow the blade to clear the Repo brackets that clamp the wiper motor to the windshield frame. Now I notice that the wiper does not seem to swing far enough towards the passenger side to cause it to reverse direction. If I give it a little touch in that direction it will reverse as it should. There is no problem with the other end of it's swing and it reverses properly from that side. This motor was probably sitting on a shelf for many years so should I take it apart and clean and lubricate (?) it or am I just asking for trouble? Any other suggestions?

Re: Vacuum Wiper Issue
If you do a search you should be able to find a diagram and instructions on oiling the motor without taking it apart. You might try taking off the blade and arm and see if it still does not reverse when on. If it reverses ok run it for a while that way to lessen it up.
