Default Dipper Tray - swiss-cheese ?!

The saga continues...

I have two A engines torn-down, both have dipper trays that are kind of eaten-up from crankcase acids.

Both have holes in the dipper wells themselves, the less bad of the two has more of the baffles eaten-away.

I could braze-up / patch the well holes, but not sure what to do about the baffles.

Are there any good trays left ? Repros ?

Thanks !

Frank

I would braze the wells and not worry about the baffles. If you are worried, pop-rivet an extension on them.

I wouldn't mess with them for fear of another hole in the near future... Finding good ones should be pretty easy... Why risk a engine issue from not doing it right
