For Sale: 1931 Ford Victoria "Leatherback". Once owned by famed Texas oilfield firefighter "Red" Adair (documentation included), this is an excellent Vicky that needs nothing ... except your TLC. Restored in the early 1980's, when original parts were still available, it is very complete and in original condition in all respects, right down to the spring wraps. Been housed in a private collection since restoration; the paint, interior, and all bright work are in excellent condition. Runs and drives well. As you might expect, it's acquired a very few small nicks in the paint over the years, some imperfections in the finish on the drivers' side of the gas tank, and the underside of the drivers door was painted in haste. Otherwise this car is "good to go" in it's as-is state. Absolutely the only pieces missing are the sun visors (I believe they were an extra-cost option).

Bought it thinking I'd give it some light hot rod touches ... you know: hydraulic brakes, flathead engine, 16" wheels and tires ... but I can't bring myself to molest it in any way. Having survived all these years as a pristine original, it deserves to stay that way. So it's now looking for a good home where it can continue life as an original vehicle.
