Simple '34 tail light wire color question
I'm about to connect tail, signal wires using a Vintique two filament tail light. It looks like original style plug and wire colors. One is green, the other is black. Which would be the brake light? Thanks.
I know I can figure it out by trial and error, but trying to avoid that step. |

Re: Simple '34 tail light wire color question
The easiest way is to touch one wire to battery+ and and ground the light housing to batt neg. Watch which lights up and do the same for the other wire. Wire color doesn't really mean much. Small alligator clips on some 10ga wire are really handy for this.

Re: Simple '34 tail light wire color question
Green is the color of the wire for the brake light. If the socket wiring is made correctly and the same for the main wiring harness, color means a lot.
