Default top iron wood?

Hi i buy a top iron set from a guy here (top!). but there is no wood structure anymore. Is there someone of you who could help me. I know i can order a set off 3 wood bars at Mac or Snyder no problem. But the vertical stands have also a gap what belongs in there? A few pictures would be a great help. Thanks in advance.
O it is from a roadster 1929.

Your talking about the packing on the inside of the irons? That was originally a compressed cardboard. Nobody reproduces it. You would just have to make up something like some wood that would fit in and then hold a tack.
