I was going to ask the question of where to get complete seats that are decent, I've got a late 31 CCPU with the indented fire wall, the seats in it are not right, there is a wood platform between the riser and seat, there have been several discussions about seats on here but i thought there had been a problem with the pickup seats, is there anything specific I would need to know.

Thanks

The late '31 seat is different from the earlier ones. I just haven't figured out exactly what the differences are. Mine is the all steel Bud cab, and I'm told that it is even different yet. So who knows???

My wife loves the camping cushions like the one from REI.... In the link attached. Just enough extra cushion and you can also let out air to make if a perfect fit for your behind...

Get a cabriolet. It's a coupe that has a roof that opens.

My 31 Slant windshild Town Sedan has a comfortable front seat, but I do sink down into it a bit too much. As it has the original upholstery and springs I don't want to change it, but I was thinking of putting blocks of high density upholstery foam between the coils of the springs to stiffen up the seat bottom a bit. I'm sure my 260 lbs. has nothing to do with the situation.

Mine have new Snyder springs, and new seat coverings from Lebaron Bonney, so they are as good as they can get. Maybe I need to take more frequent rest stops.
2many,
I heard of a tour, where one dude hauled a PORTA-POTTI in his pickup, complete with steps!

Nice to see you this past weekend, Bob. Yes, the coupe is more comfortable. I should have not sold the nice 29 I had a few years ago. I saw the car at the new england meet, but the guy would not sell it back to me.
I agree with the newer wheels and bigger tires, and I have spring covers soaked in 250 weight oil, and new Bill Stipe shocks.
I just need a nice coupe.

I know a Power Tour guy who has a Tudor with seats from a Chrysler minivan. It is a very nice restomod. The seats look like Henry put them in.
If modification makes it possible to drive your Model A awhile longer, have at it.
Also, if you need the phone number of the guy with the Malibu seats, PM me. It is/was for sale at a very reasonable price.
My MGBGT has very comforatable seats, and I am wondering if I can fit a set of them into to tudor without it looking like hell.

One of the guys in our club has VW Bug seats in his Tudor. Looking at them, I had no idea! He says they are very comfortable.

There are GREAT ADVANTAGES in owning a VERY COMMON OLD TUDOR !!!
I'm ALSO happy with my VERY COMMON OLD 5 WINDOW COUPE, since I put in SWIVEL BAR STOOL SEATS! (hic!)

With my new stipe shocks, my 31' tudor rides better than my wife, tiny KIA.

CarlG, I have the cut-down Snyder springs in my '31 CCPU and love them. I am 6', 200 lb. Years ago I had a '30 CCPU with stock springs and I couldn't sit in it for more than 30 min.

2manycars, a friend of mine has a '31 Vicky which originally essentially the same front seats as a tudor. He put seats from a Dodge/Chrysler mini-van in and they are comfortable.

I have driven a victoria, and the seats are a bit bigger than tudor seats, so you can imagine what the tudor is like if your friend was uncomfortable in the vic.
I have located a pair of seats that came from an MG, and will go look at them.

Wrecking yards are like a SHOPPERS' PARADISE, when searching for BUCKET SEATS!
