Default Apple Hydraulics: reviews needed

https://www.applehydraulicsonline.com

Has anyone bought and used shocks from Apple Hydraulics? I need to rebuild/replace shocks on my '39 Coupe and this looks like a good alternative. Do they replace your shocks with identical or near identical shocks. I do like to keep the car as "original" as I can. Thanks.

Dean, I used Apple Hydraulics about 8 years ago to rebuild all four of my '39 shocks. They rebuilt the shocks I sent them and I have been very satisfied with their work.

Dick.

They rebuilt one for my '32 and I was happy with it.

I also had good work done by Apple. They rebuilt the shocks on my '41 16 years ago. Still fine,no leaks.

Andy Falandes has taken over Bill Wzoreks shock rebuilding business. I got my shocks back about 2 months ago and am pleased with the workmanship on my original shocks. Contact Andy at 413 586 5324 or [email protected]
Now if it will stop raining, I would like to put some miles on those shocks.

I had a set of shocks done by Apple and they had destroyed them. They were concourse correct shocks for late 38 / early 39. They actually were returned to me with silicone all over the packing. The shocks were ruined for what they were intended for.
Wzoreck had done NUMEROUS shocks for me and every one was perfect. If Andy was trained and learned properly from Bill, that would be my first (and only) choice for a rebuilder.

Where I worked tried them for MG lever shocks. Within 6 months they all failed--- perhaps they are better now, this was over 10 years ago

Just replaced a recently rebuilt one on a Packard--- the other 3 are still good , 3000 miles, 5 years since rebuilt--- it still worked if you filled it weekly, have no proof but was told that were rebuilt by Apple

There's a lot of machined surfaces to restore if you want properly working shocks--- not leaking , moving, and looking good is easier and probably closer to what many "rebuilds" end up as

Last year I used their option of buying shocks from them and then sending my old shocks for a refund. I'm happy, shocks are fine, no leaks, and I got my refund.
