Re: 1932 brake shoes
Model A are 11" and 32-34 are 12" so if they are 12" they are not model A.

Re: 1932 brake shoes
Ok, you have me confused. The model A brakes are 11" diameter. You can't put a 11" diameter shoe in a 12" drum.
Maybe some good photos would be useful. Mart. |

Re: 1932 brake shoes
Some one had welded new ends on the shoes extending them to 12" then re arched them ,A total mess, Yes they worked but not very well , once owner brings them in again ill do a picture , You call it a farmer fix , Here in NZ we use a different saying ???

Re: 1932 brake shoes
I can put a used set in a box, for free, you make arrangements with fed x, they show up at my house with the label, and its on the way south.

Re: 1932 brake shoes
Would there be a problem in posting used old brake shoes? I know some countries have very strict rules regarding importing items containing asbestos.

Re: 1932 brake shoes
The reason I know it can be done is I sold a wheel to a gentleman in Scotland once, and he did everything on his end. I put them in a box, measured the size and weight, he did the rest. Fedex emailed me for a pickup time, and thats it. I can remove the linings, you need 4 or 8 ?

Re: 1932 brake shoes
He in NZ will have to have a FX acct.Probably easier to ship in a medium USPS flat rate box,$93.25 .FX might be double that.Maybe he can connect with a V8 guy in Australia for those shoes.
