Default Car stalling 292 engine

I have a 1957 - 292 two barrel with a problem.
Car starts and idles fine but once it warms up it stalls when I attempt to accelerate. Sometimes it stalls when I am not on the gas peddle. Once it stalls it will not restart immediately. If it sits for about ten minutes then it starts up again.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The easiest to check is to ensure that there is no vacuum on your fuel line. In some way, either by line or by gas cap, your tank should be vented so that the fuel pump can move the fuel to the carb. Obviously, as this happens the air (or room) in your gas tank gets larger. The air needs to come in from the atmosphere somewhere. If it does not, it will create a vacuum in the tank that the fuel pump has to pull against.

If you are good on venting and getting fuel up to the carb with no issues, it does look like your carburetor needs to be removed, disassembled, and all components checked. For the first problem you state, it does seem as if your accelerator pump is bad. Ensure the fuel bowl is filled, and then open the butterflies while you look down the bores of the carburetor. You should see streams of raw fuel shooting into the throats.

Check the accelerator pump within the carb. Next is to check if the bowl is getting gas fast enough. Which would have to Do with the fuel pressure. Did you change your fuel pump also?
I changed mine recently to a rebuilt summit one and the AC station was horrible. Went back to the old one. No issues.

There's a slim possibility that your carb could be borderline flooding due to a perforation in your float. You could have just the right amount of gas to air ratio inside the float to cause it to be just borderline flooding.
Take the float out and shake it next to your ear. If you hear gas sloshing around inside it, you need a new float.

Does the distributor have a Pertronix in it? That's exactly how my engine acted when my Pertronix went bad
