Default Help boat tail horn

I have a boat tail horn one field coil is bad any suggestions on what I can do? 1932 ford bait tail horn.

Richard, are you talking about the horn pictured ? The field coils look ok there, so what makes you think one is faulty ? What I do see however are the brush holders, the followers behind each spring loaded brush are rubbing on the commutator and armature causing bad contact of the brush on the comm. which should not be happening. Brushes may be worn and too short. If you are not sure on how this all should work find someone with electric motor skills to check it for you before you go buying parts which may be unnecessary. Ok thanks no continuity on one of the field coils this is a problem.

An electric motor service shop may be able to rewind the field coils. They could also rebuild the brushes etc.
