Default 37 windshield frame seal

Greetings: From what I read here the drake windshield frame to body seal is the best for my 37 sedan. Checked with drake and theirs wont be available until after jan of 2017. Is there any other supplier close to Drake quality or is it worth waiting until next year? Thanks for your time!

Either wait or start checking other vendors who may have. I definitely do not like the Carpenter one sent it back and got Drake one fit great. Carpenter makes or did make great stuff years ago like all the rubber seals for a '53 F-100 project I did 30 years ago great fit and quality. This was the reason I bought from Carpenter when I did my '37 but definitely not the the same experience. Lots of smaller vendors that may have what you need, shame he is gone but Spadaro is where I would get Drake stuff. Try V8 in Springfield Ohio or C & G and ask if they are Drakes.

I think they use that same seal clear up through 1939 so a lot of cars used it. Most of the repro parts vendors have been holding their wallets a little closer over the last couple of years. Rubber products start to degrade the day that they are made so vendors like to sell that stuff out as quick as they can. Shelf life is too short and quantity for for minimum purchase for a vendor is probably not a small one.
