Ok boys. The plug in the rear main just ahead of the oil pipe. If i knock out that plug to check if the tube is sticking up to high. What do you use to replace it and where do i buy it? Thanks in advance!!

Just remove the tube, cut a horseshoe in the up hill side of the threads, this will assure the drain line isn't plugged. Good idea to put a spot weld on the tube to rear main cap to insure the pipe is secure and will not unscrew.

Use a 7/16" frost plug to re-seal. Obtainable at all jobber parts stores such as NAPA. Quick rap with a set punch in the center to expand

Remove the oil pipe and take a skinny punch and knock out the little plug. When you go to reinstall it take a punch and give it a good whack but not to hard and it will set the plug back in the rear main cap.

Tuneman,
You will not need to purchase new plugs. Do as Winepro suggests. Remove the oil tube and use a small punch through the oil pipe hole to drive the plug out. Cover the plug area with a shop rag to catch the plug as it will come loose and fly. Small punch and a couple quick raps with a small hammer will free it. If you are concerned the plug will be loose, place the plug on an anvil and flatten it with a hammer...a couple extra taps will expand it for a good fit. I use a ballpeen hammer to reset them.
Good Day!
