Thumbs up Re: Y-block hotrod headers

Had to redo my water temp sending unit bong,so I could put mec. fitting into it,drill and retap to bigger size. I had forgot it was a press in head bung-thinking it was screwed in.,so it came out when I tryed to tap,but stayed in place long enough to drill. Darn,at lest it opened up so I could suck out with vac filings[add of a small hose adtachmint]. Ended up making a new bong and adding fitting before pressing back in.

I'm looking for older 4100 4bbl carb to rebuild, its OK if its locked up,I can fix that, don't need chock stuff at all. thanks

To get my old y-block started,I put a 2bbl setup on it,cuz I lost my 4bbl somewere and had sold off my 2x4 setup. Only thing I didn't know tell now ,was who ever did rebuild to the 2bbl was a fool,I fixed it after this first start up.
and she run nice now.

Sounds good, now that she's warmed up you might want to put a feeler gauge to the valves...

Yup,3 were open tooo far, sounds much better now with carb fixed and valves readjusted to .019 cold.{ never like doing hot and don't find hot needed.] She start right away now, much smoother. It had been a very long time a sleep. But getting smoke from right bank #2,rings may free up later?
