Re: Lionel toy trains .
O Gauge Railroading Forum.
https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/ Although it is called " O Gauge" there are separate forums for all types of toy and model trains. Most of the activity is in the Lionel O Gauge section which covers both new and all types of vintage. There is a lot of good discussions about operating trains, repairing trains, restoration, layout building, and general collecting. Like Ford Barn, if you ask a question about anything Lionel related, you will get a dozen answers with various oppinions in a very short time! I collect original, pre-war Lionel standard gauge. There is some activity on this website for standard gauge collectors as well. What do you like? Last edited by gz; 08-15-2020 at 06:07 PM. |

Re: Lionel toy trains .
John,
If you collected Märklin trains, then you could combine your hobbies and make an entire set of these train cars: Märklin 48296 (HO) .....and these: Märklin 48159 (HO) Märklin made the one with the Ford Model A on the side in 1, HO and Z scales. They are easy to find on the secondary market (eBay, etc) and with several of these lined up in a row, it makes a very impressive train set.....delivering The New Ford cars and parts from the factory. Re: Lionel toy trains .
I love the "Ford" rail cars. Is the first photo some German version of a caboose , having the "watch shack" attached? As for the OP, I am convinced that there is a forum for "everything and anything" . I do antique outboard motors, our club (aomci.org) and web site is international. There is a forum for vintage (1950 -60's ) washing machines. and I just bought a 1951 REO Royale lawn mower and there is a site for REO mower collectors. Ya' Know that some folks collect dinosaur "sh*t" , so a supose that they too have a forum.

The Train Collectors Association, (TCA), is another well respected organization John. It does cover all makes, but Lionel is a large part I've seen. I collect pre-war Lionel O gauge and 1920's Ives Wide gauge. They sure are fun!
