Default V-8 National Meet in Springfield Ill.
Any one going to attend the Early Ford V-8 National Meet in Springfield Ill?
It is from Aug 18 to the 21.

I am going also. I am bringing my 39 Ford. I heard that through the grapevine that if you bring your 39 you got a tank of gas, Steak dinner and a new suit. Is that true? Sure hope so. I will be in the touring class this year. So I guess just the 3 of us so far. I will watch for you guys. I wonder if I should bring all my dogs?

I heard a similar rumor from a very reliable source who wishes to remain anonymous. These freebies you speak of, and maybe a few others, will be awarded to those who drive their '39's at least 500 miles to Springfield. Unfortunately, as the rumor also goes, these freebie giveaways must be funded by those who trailer their '39's. You are driving aren't you?

Redneck's '39 Standard TuDor is one fine driver, I know, I got us lost in North Georgia several years ago, at the Moonshine Festival. Hope you all have fun at the Meet.
