8ba cooling fans
So I need to track down a cooling fan for my '51 Tudor conversion from 6 cyl to 8 cyl and I believe that what's needed is an 8BA 8602 fan/narrow pulley/brkt assembly. What I found in my stash of FH stuff is a 3 blade marked 8BA 8632A,.... what might that have originally been on?

Re: 8ba cooling fans
I believe those three bladed fans were used on 1952-53 Fords. An 18 1/2 inch 4 bladed fan, 2 piece blade design (Part # 1CM-8602) was used on was used on 1950-51 Mercs with automatic transmissions. I think it was for improved cooling. The last photo looks like it uses the wide belt pulley. More parts research needed to be sure.

Re: 8ba cooling fans
I think the narrow belt 3 blade fans are passenger car fans from 1950 to 53 (or 54 for Canada and sourced markets).

Re: 8ba cooling fans
Thanks for the responses guys. Looks like I could use this 8BA 8632A fan, still kinda wondering what if any difference between it and the 8BA 8602.

Re: 8ba cooling fans
My 53 Merc came with a 3 blade fan (standard transmission) while my 52 has the four blade fan (automatic transmission). Guess they figured the automatic transmission would put extra load on the cooling requirements and therefore an extra fan blade.
