Default Open drive trans in a '34 Ford questions

I am putting on open drive converted '39 box into my next 34 Ford project.
What mounting parts do I need to make the conversion ?
I have the proper 21A rear trans housing, trans main shaft, and the '46 Ford truck rubber saddle.
Thank you.

For starters, you're going to need a 16-spline yoke for the drive shaft. I've heard that early Chevy Powerglides fit, but what do I know? DD

Yes, you are correct about the powerglide yoke.
I pulled one of my stock closed drive transmissions out switched the mainshaft to the splined tailshaft last night.
I have the proper Ford rear yoke
I have the proper truck rear trans case mount.
I have the 47 Ford truck crescent shaped rubber trans mount.
What I need to know is how is the rear of the trans secured to the stock '34 frame.
Are there biscuits lke the front motor mounts on either side of the mount ears.
I can fab some mounts easily enough but I thought I remembered this being a "bolt it" deal.
Thank you.

Aren't MOST of them done that way, anyhow? DD

I've done a few of these in customer chassis but I use small rubber biscuits for a slight cushion. I can't remember where I got the biscuits.

Thanks Pete ! sure looks better there. Also, thinking some more, just a guess here, but from the pictures it looks to me like the spacing width for the bolt holes is different, and I 'm gonna guess the location front to back is different too so you will have some hacking to do in the cross member saddle .

What about the speedometer cable connection.since no torque tube? I think you will have to use the rear mount/bearing retainer off the open drive and somehow fit it to the '34 frame in order to connect the speedo cable. .

It's virtually a MUST that you need to run this "21C-" (NOT "21A-") bearing retainer that Sheldon ("deuce lover") has pictured above because of the seal, as well as the speedo hook-up. The "21A-" is for a torque tube. Your '34 chassis center crossmember should look something like the one in chassis below. As you see, there are two rubber donuts there that the '34 rear bearing retainer would sit on. What you need to do is mock-up the engine/trans in that chassis with the "21C-" bearing retainer bolted to the rear of your trans case (they will all interchange on those six bolt holes). Look and see how close things align. You would NOT be the first guy in the past 80 or 90 years that had to fabricate an adaptive trans mount. You MAY be pleasantly surprised at how close things line-up. This is the only realistic way to approach this type of swap. You mock-up, and build as you go. What is this "Ford truck crescent shaped rubber trans mount" that you speak of? We're here to help ya if we can. DD

Thank you for all your input.
I had this setup in my '36 roadster but can't remember what was done now.
The 21C setup looks like a winner.
I appreciate you help.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING !

Here is another picture, better-showing the details of the mount holes in that '34 center-crossmember. DD
