Reach out to Bert's concerning their 4-row re-cored radiator. I have one of these in my Victoria and it hardly gets above 150 deg on a 90 deg day. Fitment is great too.

Food wasn't bad, either!

I didn't see Berg's mentioned. I went with him and what a nice guy. Since I installed his radiator I believe the only way to overheat is to set the car on fire.

I think it was Berg's that was making them for Snyder's when I bought mine several years ago. Don't know who Snyder's is using now.

Prater Radiator in Orlando(just south of downtown) does a very good job. I took mine back after many, many years - they repaired it free of charge. Original price was fair.

Installed a Berg’s 2 years ago, cooled way too good, installed a 160* thermostat, runs about 175* on a hot summer day

And when you get that new radiator installed, make darn
sure your fan is good. Don't need a old fan ruining things!

The steel hadn't been tinned, allowing the rust to get going under there. I had it repaired each time at the same radiator shop and now, I'm hoping (again) that I might get a decent life out of it. The repairs have cost me at least as much as the radiator itself did originally.
During discussions with Brassworks, they said that they don't make radiators - they only recore originals.
If I ever need another radiator, I'll have my own recored locally.
Not sure how you took away that we do not make radiators. It's what we do. We traded numerous emails and I explained how they were made in by Ford and how we make them and why a number of things were "curious" in your description of this radiator constructed in late 2013. I am sorry you had a problem and regret you do not find more happiness from the hobby.

I have enjoyed great happiness from the hobby but there is always a "fly in the ointment" wherever you go. IMO, there is nothing "curous" about it failing.
Matter closed!

I love my Berts radiator. I am sorry they went out of business.

Hello, agree that it is hard to find a radiator repair shop anymore, had mine repaired after checking with four other shops, only one could actually clean and repair it, they went out of business about 2 months after the repair , were in around before WW2 .Family that inherited the shop didn’t want to keep it going.

I bought a Bergs just before they closed, after talking to this countries expert. Cost an arm and a leg to get it here.

At about 7:20, was he soldering over a hole?

At the end, when he was soldering on bracket, he used the big iron. Would the torch have unsoldered the tank?

I own a radiator core made by Maine Radiator Manufacturing in Lewiston, Maine. My local radiator shop removed the upper and lower cans from my old radiator and installed a new core from Maine Radiator. Maine Radiator cores are manufactored in the USA. They make all sizes and types of truck, auto, and antique auto cores. I highly recommend checking them out.

What did the core cost? When did you purchase it? and who did you purchase it from?

As I understand it, Maine Radiator only sells through distributors/ commercial customers.
