Default A smoother ride

I carry 120 lbs of concrete in the bed of my 1930 pickup truck. It makes the ride better. Any one else tried this?
thanks : Dean

A VERY well know phenomenon. The ratio of sprung and unsprung weights is changed in favour of a softer ride.

Shocks are good.

I have 150 pounds of coal in the trunk of my 30 coupe. Didn't notice much change.

300 lbs of cement on each running board works too, don’t even have to lift them, i pull up to the trough and cut the top off the bag.

Thats an advantage I have with the Fordor. Heavier body = smoother ride. I notice the difference vs coupe.

Also depends on the spring/shock system. My Fordor has aftermarket tubular shocks in back which makes for a choppy ride at low speeds. OK at higher speeds. You can adjust the stock shocks. You should adjust them for the season, summer vs. winter.
