Default Horn value?

I have a perfectly good Ames horn that I no longer want to keep around since I no longer have a Model A. Just wondering what the value is? It has a few coats of black paint on it, but works perfectly. It was from my dads 28 A. Why I have it I can't remember as the car was sold in the 60's.

The last one I bought for $10, the one I use on the car I paid $50, I see them for $100 all the time.

Short answer...give it to one of your old Model A buddies

Anyone got an unrestored Stewart Warner horn or a Sparton with an original patient plate either dated 05 to 07, 31 or alternatively undated they'd like to sell? Richard

I know J- I have 4 horns Im holding onto.

last one I used on a car was rusty and crusty and fit the car perfectly!

I never do get to use the restored ones though........and theyre not worth selling,
for what it costs to restore them.

how certain things fly when involved in As.

Its like anything else, not worth anything to those who don't want it. To those looking for a good horn, it ought to be worth easily $150-175. Put it on ebay with a $180 Buy-it-now with free shipping. It'll sell.

Every show or swap meet I go to, there are lots of horns for sale at what I think are quite high prices. Yet, I never see model A s that need horns. So who's Buying the damn things?

My horn isn't working but was a pretty good car in the 20 years before I got it.

It's probably easier for me to send it off to someone who's done a horn overhaul many times than for me to try and learn how to do it.

What are recommended horn overhaul shops in the US?

Thx!!
