WATCH OUT-Classified Ad Scammer!
Was contacted from ad posted in Model A wanted section of this site for 19” adjustable/bent spoke wheels. Responder (robertbrian56) had zero posts. Directed me to email a third party that “They have what you are looking for.”
It was very obvious third party ([email protected]) was setting up for a scam. They have sent me several pictures, clearly pulled off the web, of wheels that are not even 19” You have been warned! |

Redirection to a third party away from the forum is the usual MO. As soon as you see it, RUN, rabbit, run rabbit, run ,run.

Yes, I got the same message to my want ad for a Miller OHV side plate for Model A engine. Zero posts should be a dead giveaway.

Re: WATCH OUT-Classified Ad Scammer!
I was going to make a joke but this is a serious issue. My cousin has lost a sizeable amount of money to a scammer. They can be quite clever.

Verify the ID photo to the face, the address to the picture of the house, and then check that on google maps. Yes it's a pain in the butt, but the seller should be willing to do that to make the sale if your worried. If not, you didn't loose anything but time. I do this to all large online transaction's. It has worked every time. Stay Safe & Secure Regards Bill |
