Default Need dimensions/pics for front wood rail 1930 Model A

Hi everyone,

I'm starting to restore my father's 1930 Model A Coupe and I started treating/gluing/fixing the roof ribs and rails. The side, back rails and ribs were still in pretty good shape, but the front rail has deteriorated to the point that there's almost no strong wood left. I don't want to spend $150 on a new front rail and am I pretty good woodworker, so I want to try and make the piece myself. I have a bunch of Model A restoration books, but none of them have dimensions or pictures of the actual piece intact. Does anyone know where I can find them? I think the part number is A-47235-B

Thanks.

John

Try the Ford archives. They have original drawings on record.
