For whatever it is worth, the current owners of our old Ford Assembly Plant are going to tear it down even though it has landmark status. They contend it is too far gone to restore. How do you determine how far gone is brick, steel, and concrete? Dale Gosa.

There may be a financial motive.

Notice that at 4:15 the hub cap is not in line with the Valve stem.

As stated before in the early v8 thread there are piling's supporting the foundation that are rotted and some completely gone.

Just an excuse. If we can spend BILLIONS on wars in foreign lands that will NEVER be at rest we should be able to spend some money to save this shrine!!! It changed the world for the better without ONE shot being fired. Guess I'm old fashioned but Henry Ford was a genius.

If the Roman Colosseum didn't get torn down, then why not fix it the assembly plant.

When I was in Venice, Italy years ago they said it was sinking. Now they found a way to raise it back up. The bulkhead is 85 feet into the river. The only pilings are under the dock that surrounds two sides of the building. The building is ground level for the train cars to enter the length of the building on concrete. The main floor the length of the building has to be at least 18ft thick. Steel gerders run up to hold up the roof which is all glass. A marvel as the roof windows and side windows are all moveable by motors that allow air to flow through the building back in days of no air conditioning. It was quite comfortable in the summers. I have been in this building many times.

Yes I have pictures but have tried numerous times to get pictures on here to no avail. It just doesn't let me do it. Something on here always stops me. I thought I follow all the directions but no go. I gave up.
